Network Security

Aviv Raff, CTO, Seculert

While there has been some controversy revolving around a supposed secret NSA/RSA contract, Aviv Raff, CTO at Seculert, doesn't feel it will have a major impact on this year's RSA Conference because the show doesn't have much to do with the company.

What events will you be attending this year in San Francisco?

RSA Conference.

What influenced your decision?

This is the biggest security industry show of the year. An opportunity to meet almost everyone, from partners to customers, in one place for several days.

What do you anticipate the most as far as conference talks this year?

I believe we will see more talks this year that mention APT attacks than we've seen in previous conferences.

Given the RSA/NSA news, what kind of impact do you feel this will have on the show this year?

I don't think it will have much impact. I believe the show doesn't have much to do with the RSA company, but more with the entire security industry (full disclosure: I am an RSA alumni).

What are some pressing concerns/threats in the industry that you feel will be discussed this year?

We will see more discussions about APTs, how to make intelligence more actionable and accurate, as well as some of the Big Data themes from last year.
