Bleacher Report hit with data breach

Hackers managed to score a few points off of the sports website Bleacher Report hitting it with a Data Breach in early November. In an email to users the site reported that an unauthorized user gained access to user information for its website and mobile app. The number of people affected was not released, but the information possibly compromised includes user first and last names, usernames and passwords. No credit card or other personal information is recorded by Bleacher Report. The incident was discovered on November 12, but the illegal entry into the system likely took place earlier that month, Bleacher Report said. The incident was reported to law enforcement and the website is requiring all users to reset their passwords. Bleacher Report has not yet respond to an SC Media inquiry for additional information.
