The National Government Services Security Team (NGSST) has developed into a partnership of dedicated and experienced security pros possessing a combined 250-plus years of security experience, with certifications in multiple security disciplines. The focus is on identity management, access management and threat management with specialization in infrastructure security, risk assessment procedures, policy formation, role-based authorization methodologies, security attack pathologies and other security tools and authentication methods. Proactively managing and identifying issues, our team takes action to prevent the recurrence of nonconformities and designs corrective actions to eliminate root causes of any nonconformities. The team guards against transgressions – ranging from malicious attacks to insider threats – and promotes professional ethics with a commitment to protect systems and infrastructure.

The security team's focus is on communicating and assisting its leaders and colleagues to ensure adequate safeguards exist. The team believe security begins with them. It provides a fact-based risk management process and the tools that allow its leaders to make informed security decisions. By influencing and facilitating an understanding of the need for first-class security practices, the NGSST have created a partnership and gained customers' concurrence and commitment to ensure that security is a part of their processes.

The company's livelihood is based on how well the NGSST performs on contracts. Sustaining a winning security program is a key component to keeping the business and establishing new business. Success is also measured by how well NGSST implements its customers' security requirements, including performance on information security audits and the timely closing of any issues identified. Security has to be a part of the fabric of what it does, and all levels of associates and management are an important part of achieving its security initiatives and goals.
