Charges dropped by New Mexico court against former RoadRunner worker

The charges against Gordon Logan, of Rio Rancho, N.M., who was charged with computer abuse, embezzlement and burglary, have been dropped due to a lack of evidence.

The Albuquerque Journal reported that the 13th Judicial District Attorney's Office dropped the charges against the former RoadRunner Wireless employee citing “insufficient evidence to continue with the prosecution.”

Gordon Logan faced charges of computer abuse, embezzlement and burglary in Sandoval County District Court, according to KOAT. The TV station cited court documents stating Logan, who had worked for Roadrunner for 16 years, gained access to the company's servers and made several changes. This was done after he was arrested in early November for impersonating a Roadrunner technician, entering business and adding a scrambler device to a company antenna slowing internet service for its customers.

Logan had been fired from RoadRunner in August 2015, and a separate civil case filed by Roadrunner against Logan for alleged contract and negligent misrepresentation is pending, according to the Journal.
