Global revenue from anti-virus software reached $4 billion
(£2.1 billion) in 2005, according to research from Gartner.
Symantic continues to dominate with a 53.6% market share; but the real
success story is the much smaller Panda Software, which recorded 23.9 %
growth and and increased its market share to 3.2%, thanks to its strong
presence among European SMEs.
