Hackers place YG and Nipsey Hussle anti-Trump song on radio stations

Anti-Trump protestors have brought their fight to the airwaves by exploiting a known vulnerability in low power FM radio transmitters to play a provocative tune.

More than a dozen radio stations have been hijacked to play a loop of the song “**** Donald Trump” by YG and Nipsey Hussle, according to the RadioInsight.

The hacks were done by exploiting vulnerabilities in Barix Exstreamer devices which can decode audio formats and send them for LPFM transmission, RadioInsight said. Station hijacking have been reported since around 2:00 PM ET on Friday Jan, 20 just two hours after President Trump's Inauguration began.

It is unclear who is behind the attacks and so far 105.9 WFBS-LP Salem, S.C., 101.9 Pirate Seattle, Radio 810 WMGC/96.7 W244CW Murfreesboro TN , 100.9 WCHQ-LP Louisville, 100.5 KCGF-LP San Angelo TX have been reportedly been confirmed as targets and there are unconfirmed reports of stations in California, Indiana, and Washington State being affected as well.
