Russian hacker wanted by U.S. arrested in Spain

Russian national Stanislav Lisov who is wanted by the United States on hacking charges was arrested in Spain earlier this week.

The Washington Post reported that Lisov was arrested at the Barcelona airport and then jailed on January 13 based on an FBI warrant issued through Interpol. He is wanted by U.S. law enforcement for criminal conspiracy in connection with electronic and computer fraud.

Reuters stated that Lisov developed and used the malware NeverQuest that uses social media, email and file transfers to spread and remove financial information that has led to the loss of millions of dollars.
