eEye execs shuffle offices

Vulnerability management vendor eEye Digital Security announced numerous changes in its management team today.

Ross Brown, now eEye COO, has been promoted to CEO, while co-founder and Chief Hacking Officer Marc Maiffret, is the new CTO.

Firas Bushnaq, formerly the company's CEO and CTO, will become chairman for the company's board of directors.

Kamal Arafeh has been appointed senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing, according to a company news release.

Brown told SCMagazine.com today that he was brought in to improve the company's market share based on its already successful technology.

"I was brought in by Bushnaq because of work I had done at Citrix, putting together a management team that has great products, and (showing) how to build a reputable business scale," he said.

Arafeh said today in a news release that the company is already on solid financial footing.

"eEye is in an excellent position as the security industry's leading risk management company," he said. "Its world-class research, which complements its award-winning product line, addresses today's most pressing needs in enterprise security."
