Skycure has announced results of its first Mobile Threat Intelligence Report which found a growth in threats to enterprise and personal mobile devices.
The report found that 41 percent of mobile devices are at a medium to high risk on the Skycure risk scale. The analysis is based on global mobile data from Skycure and outside sources between July and September 2015.
Significantly, nearly two percent are high-risk devices that have already been compromised.
The report found that most devices are not capable of fighting these threats and more than 52 percent of all devices don't have a simple passcode enabled.
The study also found that one in three Android devices is vulnerable to one of the recent high-profile attacks and has an out-of-date operating system. Nearly three percent of Android devices are infected with malicious apps with medium to high severity levels. More than a quarter of Android devices have third-party app installation enabled.
Twenty-six percent of iOS devices have an out-of-date operating system as well.
“Threats to mobile devices are real and based on what we're seeing in this report people aren't doing enough to protect themselves,” said Adi Sharabani, CEO of Skycure.
