Cisco posts 23 security alerts

Cisco issued a series of security advisories and alerts more than a dozen of which were rated high many of which if exploited could leave a system open to a denial of service attack.

Overall, on Sept. 26 Cisco posted 13 high and 10 medium-rated alerts the vast majority of which can lead to denial of service attacks affecting various aspects of Cisco IOS and IOS XE Software v. 1.0 and in on case v. 1.1.

Out of the 13 high rated issues 10 were to prevent DOS attacks and the other three for a Windows privilege escalation vulnerability, a Discovery protocol memory leak vulnerability and command injection vulnerabilities.

Only three of the medium rated alerts concerned DOS attacks, a few for bypass vulnerabilities and memory write issues, too.
