Fake FBI scam email making the rounds

A message purportedly sent from the FBI Anti-Terrorist and Monetary Crimes Division is making its way to inboxes, threatening recipients that they will be arrested if they do not reply back, according to a Cyberwarzone.com report. The scam message, riddled with grammatical errors, claims the recipient's identity was used to perpetrate an online scam, and now the individual is wanted by the FBI. The scammer, who describes himself in the message as “a good Christian and a honest man,” instructs the recipient to send money via Western Union to an address in Nigeria to remediate the problem. FBI spokeswoman Jenny Shearer told SCMagazineUS.com on Friday that the message is “certainly not something the FBI would ever send.”
