The FBI is in search of cybersecurity professionals interested in becoming special agents.
The job posting will be open until Jan. 20. Recruits will have to pass an extensive background check in addition to a fitness test.
Agents must be between the ages of 23 and 37, and have “preferred backgrounds” that include computer programming and security, database administration, malware analysis, digital forensics, and ethical hacking.
“Cyber agents will be integrated into all the different violations that we work,” said Robert Anderson, Jr., executive assistant director for the agency's Criminal, Cyber, Response, and Services Branch. “So whether it's a counterterrorism or counterintelligence investigation, they could be the lead agent in the case.”
