Profile: After joining vArmour in 2015 Marc Woolward did something that is not always welcome by a person's new employer. He became a disruptive force.
Luckily for vArmour, Woolward's disruptive endeavors centered on developing new and efficient ways for businesses to secure their data. This is a topic of which he had intimate knowledge having spent the majority of his career unraveling the challenges of securing data centers.
Another positive outcome of this disruptive process was being awarded several patents focusing on segmentation and service chaining in the modern data center. During his first year he pushed vArmour from having four patents issued and 11 pending to 13 issued and 24 pending.
One of the products that Woodward's efforts has led to is the Multi-Cloud Security Architecture a vendor-agnostic framework for securing hybrid cloud infrastructure within OpenStack that vArmour launched in late 2015.
