Former Fox hosts Twitter accounts hacked, peppered with Turkish propaganda

Self-proclaimed Turkish hackers gained control of Twitter accounts belonging to former Fox News hosts, Greta Van Susteren and Eric Bolling, using them to tweet out propaganda and send direct messages to the President Trump. Van Susteren and Bolling are among the 45 accounts followed by the president.

@realDonaldTrump follows both Greta Van Susteren and Eric Bolling — The hackers are now DMing the president!!!,” Jonathan Levine, media editor at The Wrap, tweeted.

“We love the Turks and Muslims in the world,” the hackers posted from Van Susteren's account. “We condemn those who persecute them, especially in the United States, and we share their suffering . We love turkish soldiers, we love Erdogan, we love Turkey.”

The hackers also posted screenshots of Bolling's direct messages.

Van Susteren tweeted early Wednesday that the incident might be the optimal time to talk about her book, “Everything You Needed to Know About Social Media (Without Having to Call a Kid),” noting “Sony hacked etc...DNC....etc. no one is protected even w/ all best efforts.”
