22 Jump Street and Transformers: Age of Extinction topped the list of summer flicks used in social engineering, according to a Tuesday post by Trend Micro.

In some cases, links to free streams, hosted predominately on Tumblr and WordPress websites, brings users to another site that asks them to download a video player.

The player has been observed to be, in some instances, ADW_BRANTALL adware, which is capable of downloading malware such as Mevade, according to the post.

Maleficent, Godzilla, Edge of Tomorrow, How to Train your Dragon 2, X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Fault in Our Stars, Neighbors, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and Guardians of the Galaxy rounded out the rest of the list, respectively.

Users in the U.S. mostly accessed the links, with Australian watchers coming in close second.
