The FBI is investigating a hacking incident that may have exposed the financial information and other private data of several high-sitting government officials, politicians and celebrities.

On Monday, hackers claimed to have posted the personal information of first lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, FBI Director Robert Mueller, and other officials on a website registered under a Soviet Union domain. Some celebrities potentially impacted include Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Donald Trump and Britney Spears.

The data posted online appears to include Social Security numbers, credit reports, banking information, previous addresses, phone numbers and other private financial information.

As of noon Eastern Standard Time, the website,, featured a picture of a woman in dark makeup holding her fingers to her lips. “The secret files” was displayed across the top of the site, which currently appears to be offline at the time of this article's posting. Links to compromised celebrities and officials were included on the page, which had gained more than 189,000 views as of Monday afternoon.

An eerie message on the site read, “If you believe that God makes miracles, you have to wonder if Satan has a few up his sleeve.”

On Monday, a Department of Justice spokesperson told ABCNews that the agency was aware of reports on the incidents, and that Federal Bureau of Investigation was investigating the matter. The Los Angeles Police Department has also launched an investigation, and its own chief, Charlie Beck, may have had 30 pages of his financial records may have been included in the data dump, according to reports.
