Apple releases updates for iOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS and other products

Apple Tuesday released updates to address vulnerabilities in several of its products including its macOS and iOS operating systems.

The iOS updates include a patch for a FaceTime vulnerability which would allow a remote attacker to infiltrate a FaceTime call causing arbitrary code execution which affected  iPhone 5s and later, iPad Air and later, and iPod Touch sixth generation.

The iOS updates also included arbitrary code execution flaws in its Bluetooth, Kernel, libxpc, SQLite, WebKit, and WebRTC features. The macOS updates included a memory corruption vulnerability in AppleKeyStore which could allow a sandboxed process to circumvent sandbox restrictions.

MacOS updates also addressed memory corruption vulnerabilities in Hypervisor,  Kernel, libxpc,SQLite and WebRTC.

Apple also released updates patches for its iCloud, Safari, watchOS and tvOS platforms. Apple product users are advised to update their products as soon as possible to maintain their product’s security.
