Chinese soldiers involved in U.S. hacking scheme: Report

By connecting several dots together the Canadian government has tied what it believes are two Chinese soldiers to a hacking ring that included a third Chinese citizen currently living in Vancouver.

The three are part of a two-year-old espionage case that has Vancouver resident and aviation entrepreneur Su Bin working with the two unnamed Chinese soldiers/hackers to steal plans for the U.S. designed F-35 and F-22 fighters and the C-17 transport, according to the Globe and Mail. Bin was arrested in Canada on 2014 on a U.S. warrant that charged him with hacking and he is now in the process of being extradited.

The Globe and Mail said court documents it received after filing a formal request revealed the three conspired together to steal the plans and that the hackers were also members of China's military. This connection to the military was not made when the charges were originally filed.
