Core Security Technologies, provider of security assurance testing solutions, has named Fred Pinkett VP of product management. He will oversee product strategy. Pinkett previously worked as VP of market development at ExaGrid Systems.


McAfee has appointed Michel DeCesare as executive VP of worldwide sales operations. He will be responsible for channels, sales engineering, and consulting and education services. DeCesare replaces Roger King, who will take over the newly created position of executive vice president of worldwide channel operations.


Lancope, provider of network behavior analysis solutions, has named three industry veterans to its advisory board. They are: Bryan Palma, former CISO at Pepsi; Andy Purdy, former acting

SAP access control solutions have been incorporated with IBM Tivoli and Sun Java System identity management solutions. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has signed on with Titus Labs, supplier of data classification software. Titus will provide the VA with its Message Classification solution to raise employee awareness and reduce the risk of accidental disclosure of confidential emails.


Agiliance, provider of IT governance, risk and compliance solutions, has named Dev Ghoshal as VP of business development and global client services, Bob Horn as VP of sales, and Patrick Kerans as VP of marketing. The company has also announced that it has added online financial services firm eTrade to its list of customers.


Mistletoe Technologies has changed its name to GigaFin Networks to represent a new strategy toward offering network infrastructure security and traffic management solutions. The Cupertino, Calf.-based company offers appliances that monitor network behavior, optimize network performance and deter attacks at high speeds.


CipherMax, provider of storage security solutions, has hired Charles Portnoy as senior director of sales and business development. He most recently held the role of director of business development and OEM sales at InMage Systems, a disaster recovery solutions provider. Portnoy will be responsible for establishing partner and strategic relationships.
