Fayetteville, N.C., teen faces five felony charges for sexting

A Fayetteville, N.C., teenager faces five felony charges for sexting and the girlfriend who sent her nude photo to him was originally cast, bizarrely, as both an adult perpetrator and minor victim.

The 17-year old boy is charged with committing four felony sex crimes after taking and possessing two sexually explicit photos of himself, according to the Fayetteville Observer. He also faces another felony charge of exploitation of a minor for possessing a nude photo of his girlfriend that she sent him when they were both 16. If convicted, he faces prison time and register as a sex offender.

Two felony sex crimes charges against the girl for taking and possessing a nude photo of herself were dropped in July. She was put on probation and ordered her not to own a phone. If she stays out of trouble for a year, her criminal record will be wiped clean.
