First Trump, now Cruz: Anonymous voices new threat

On the heels of a “data dump” which turned out to be only the outing of Donald Trump's publicly available information, Anonymous allegedly has pledged to expose what it called Ted Cruz's “disgusting behavior.”

Calling out Cruz for what the hacktivist collective believes is his penchant for lying, a man in a video posted on Twitter (and since removed) said the group would show “America what's been hiding behind the curtain” in a revelation as part of #OpCruz that “will go viral on every social media platform” unless Cruz dropped out of the race to secure the Republican presidential nomination within 24 hours of the warning, according to a report from Radaronline.com.

That deadline has come and gone without the release of information on what the group called Cruz's  “very dirty secrets.”

Separately, Anonymous RedCult noted that the information it released last week had been online since 2013 and had not been obtained via a hack, saying that instead its #OpWhiteRose campaign had tricked Trump into showing his fascist leanings.

Trump want[s] to turn America into a fascist dictatorship where anyone can be arrested for just posting old information online,” the group said in a second video, noting that “the government and law enforcement authorities are seeking the arrest of the people responsible for attempting to illegally hack Mr. Trump's accounts and telephone information.”
