HyTrust raises $33 million in funding

HyTrust has announced it has raised a total of $33 million from investors in its most recent round of funding, the cloud security company announced Wednesday.

The latest round of investments was led by Accelerate-IT Ventures (AITV) and included contributions from Vanedge Capital, Epic Ventures, Granite Ventures, Trident Capital, Cisco, Intel Corp., Fortinet and VMware for a total of $25 million.

The Mountain View, Calif.-based company also partnered with City National Bank for an additional $8 million in venture debt and credit facilities.The funding will be used to improve product development, marketing and sales, as well as expansion into international markets.

The company, founded in 2009, has raised a grand total of $59.5 million to date.
