A Massachusetts man is facing charges related to the hacking of Zendesk, a San Francisco-based company that provides helpdesk services to organizations, including Twitter.

On Wednesday federal prosecutors charged 25-year-old Cameron Lacroix with hacking the company in February 2013 and disabling a security feature designed to restrict who can access information on its customers, according to charges filed in a U.S. District Court in the Northern District of California.

According to court documents, Lacroix allegedly exported one million Twitter support tickets to computers outside of Zendesk’s network. The information was used to compromise and deface the Twitter feeds of two companies. If convicted, he could receive a maximum of ten years in prison and be made to pay $250,000 in fines and restitution.

Lacroix recently plead guilty in June to computer hacking and payment card theft stemming from another incident.
