Profile: Bill Conner's work has spanned the gap between the private and public sectors having successfully run several major corporations, while working with the federal government to shore up its cyberdefenses.

Prior to taking on his role at SonicWall, Conner founded and was CEO of FWC Consulting – a position he retains - served as president and CEO of Silent Circle and serves on the board of director for Inuvo.

Conner's work with the government saw him launching and co-chairing the Business Software Alliance Information Security Governance Task Force in 2011 and co-chairing the Corporate Governance Task Force of the Department of Homeland Security National Cyber Security Partnership. His involvement here led to testifying on these topics on Capitol Hill on topics of critical infrastructure protection, security for SMBs and national security.

Another effort to bring cybersecurity knowledge to the masses involved Conner serving as the “DJ” for SiriusXM's cybersecurity special Hacked in 2014.
