Profile: As McAfee spun off from Intel Security into its own standalone company in 2017, Brian Dye, EVP of Corporate Products at McAfee, played a vital role, leading a global team of 2,300 cybersecurity engineers at the newly established company.

Before that, Dye spent more than a decade at Symantec Corporation, culminating in his stint as senior vice president of the Information Security Group. In that role, he led product management, engineering, support, and operations for Symantec’s gateway security, data center security, data loss prevention, trust services, and managed security services businesses.
During his time at Symantec, Dye also held senior management positions in the Information Intelligence Group, Information Management Group, Enterprise Security Group, Information Risk Management Group, and Data Center Management Group.
What colleagues say: “Brian has been an indefatigable warrior in the war against cyberthreats in Silicon Valley for 20 years. In such companies as McAfee, Intel Security, Citrix, and Symantec, he has grown with the cybersecurity industry and is constantly coming up with ideas to meet new challenges. Beyond that, he is just a nice guy. Everyone who has worked with him or for him agree he has a sense of equanimity and persistence, as well as politeness, which is unsurpassed.”
