Revenge porn site operators ordered to pay plaintiff $900,000

Two operators of a revenge porn website, ugotposted[dot]com, have been ordered, again, to pay a plaintiff in a default judgment.

In March 2014, Kevin Bollaert and Eric Chason were forced to pay $385,000 to one of the women whose photos were placed online. Now, the men have been ordered to pay $450,000 each to cover minimum statutory damages, punitive damages and compensatory damages for mental anguish requested of the plaintiff,  a minor, whose mother filed on her behalf, court documents (PDF) posted by Techdirt show.

Last Wednesday, a federal judge in California granted the plaintiff's motion for the default judgment.

Bollaert of San Diego was found guilty in February of operating the revenge porn website, as well as another, changemyreputation[dot]com, which would charge victims up to $350 to have their pictures and information removed.
