RSA’s Executive Chairman Art Coviello will retire due to unspecified health reasons on February 28.

Coviello will serve as a strategic advisor to RSA President Amit Yoran during a transition period. Yoran will ultimately assume Coviello’s previous responsibilities, according to a press release. Previous to his role as executive chairman, Coviello served as the CEO of RSA Security, Inc., before EMC Corporation acquired it in 2006. He initially joined RSA in 1995.

In his first year at the company, RSA’s annual revenue was at $25 million. By 2014 it had increased to $1 billion.

Coviello commented in the press release: “Now is the right time for me to step down to focus on addressing health concerns that have recently emerged and to be with my family.”
