Skills in demand, November 2015

The demand for security DevOps engineers is growing as organizations focus on integrating security with rapid, automated development release cycles.

What it takes

Security DevOps engineers work closely with dev teams to identify risks and implement security practices early in the systems development life cycle. As a result, security is built in reducing the need to address critical vulnerabilities after release.

Compensation

Given the hybrid skill-set and limited available talent, compensation is fairly high with base salaries ranging from $150K to $250K depending on the seniority of the role.
