U.K. authorities arrested a 21-year-old man in Bracknell, England on Tuesday as part of the investigation into the VTech hack that compromised the information of more than six million people.

The suspect is being held on suspicion of gaining unauthorized access to a computer to facilitate the commission of an offense and on suspicion of causing a computer to perform a function to gain unauthorized access to a program and or data, according to a Dec.15 release.

Officers from the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) seized electronic devices that will be examined by the organization's forensics unit.

“We will continue to work closely with our partners to identify those who commit offences and hold them to account,” Craig Jones, Head of the Cyber Crime Unit at SEROCU, said in the release, noting the investigation is still in the early stages.
