Kaspersky Lab launches bug bounty program with HackerOne

Kaspersky Lab has launched a bug bounty program with HackerOne with the first phase beginning Tuesday.

During the initial six-month phase, the security firm will offer $50,000 in bounties to security researchers assessing Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky Endpoint Security products. Once the company has examined their results, it will include additional rewards as well as other products to be evaluated in phase two of the Kaspersky Lab Bug Bounty Program.

“Our bug bounty program will help amplify the current internal and external mitigation measures we use to continuously improve the resiliency of our products,” Nikita Shvetsov, chief technology officer, Kaspersky Lab, said in a release. “We think it's time for all security companies, large and small, to work more closely with external security researchers by embracing bug bounty programs as an effective and necessary tool to help keep their products secure and their customers protected.”
