National Crime Agency website knocked out by Lizard Squad

The National Crime Agency (NCA) website was knocked off line this morning by a DDoS attack. Hacking group Lizard Squad claimed responsibility for the attack.

The attack follows the arrest of six British teenagers last week for alleged attacks on corporate websites. They are accused of using hacker-for-hire services under the name of Lizard Stresser which employed tools developed by Lizard Squad.

The teenagers were arrested as part of Operation Vivarium, organised by the NCA.

According to a report on Sky.com, the NCA website was down for more than two hours this morning.
