Dutch firm opts for managed security service

A Dutch chemical company is to protect its 1,100 users by investing in a three-year managed security service.

Teijin Twaron, a firm that makes material for bulletproof vests, has chosen Ubizen's OnlineGuardian managed security service to protect its network.

"A unified, consistent security infrastructure is paramount to Teijin Twaron, since we have three production sites in the Netherlands and over ten sales offices worldwide," said Eiso Alberda van Ekenstein, president and CEO of Teijin Twaron. "We needed a partner to provide the technology and experience to monitor and manage our security infrastructure around the clock. We chose Ubizen because of its worldwide reach."

Ubizen will manage, monitor and support security devices for email, internet and extranet traffic. The firm also plans to implement a new security infrastructure for the chemical company.

Both firms were unwilling to discuss financial details of the project.
