As is so often said for such things, the competition was fierce.
And that could not be more true for the 2020 Women in IT Security honors. The collection of nominations received was among our strongest ever, both long and esteemed – making the task of choosing five for each of our four categories nearly impossible. Stretching across sectors and focus areas, the caliber of nominees demonstrates just how far women have come. It was as inspiring as it was agonizing for those of us forced to choose.
Given that, the editorial team decided to also recognize a select group of women who may not have been named as 2020 honorees, but should be credited for contributing enormously not only to diversity efforts but to the information security market at large.
