Letter: Retailers must enforce AUPs too

Having read January's legal column, it's good to see that the issue of employers enforcing acceptable usage policies (AUPs) has been highlighted. But the issue goes further.

Our investigation last summer showed that many of the UK's WiFi hotspotsoffer little or no protection from adult and illicit content: 80 percent allowed researchers to access adult content and bomb-makingsites.

It seems that retailers also need to enforce AUPs. They are legallyresponsible for what patrons are accessing over the web.
