Millionaire husband: I’m not smart enough to hire hackers to spy on my wife

Just a quick update on a story we told you about back in April.

Matthew Mellon, the American banking heir husband of the British Jimmy Choo shoe boss who was accused of hiring a U.K.-based private detective agency to hack into his wife's emails, has been found innocent.

Mellon, who is the midst of a messy divorce with estranged wife Tamara, claims he never knew any of this illegal computer stuff was going on, adding that he wasn't smart enough to think to hire hackers. He did admit to bordering on the unethical when he hired the agency to spy on his wife.

Two co-defendants associated with the detective agency were found guilty.
