Security Weekly’s Paul Asadoorian to host inaugural ‘Unlocked’ event

I want to take a moment to introduce you to Paul Asadoorian – founder of Security Weekly, the newest addition to the CyberRisk Alliance family of brands — and to tell you how you can participate in a special event Paul is hosting in December.

Many of you may know Paul. Perhaps you’re one of his 68,000 Twitter followers, or heard him speak at any number of security conferences, or listened to Paul’s Security Weekly podcast (which the Security Weekly team describes as a chance for “a bunch of us security nerds to get together and talk shop.”)

Paul founded Security Weekly 15 years ago after implementing security programs across several companies, as well as at Brown University. He was a pen tester and product evangelist at Tenable Network Security. Throughout his career, he’s combined deep security expertise and hands-on experience with an irreverent spirit – a recipe that turns out to be a great way to help people make better security decisions.

Now about that special event in December. If you want to see up close what makes Paul and his team so important to the community, join us Dec. 10 when Security Weekly, in partnership with CRA, presents  Security Weekly Unlocked – celebrating the 15th anniversary of Paul’s company and kicking off what we expect to become an annual learning opportunity for cybersecurity practitioners.

There are two ways to participate: First, respond to our call for papers (open through Oct. 15) and apply to become a panelist. Second, register to attend and join us Thursday, Dec. 10, at 10:30 a.m. ET.

We can promise a fun and informative day — looking back at some of crazier moments in Security Weekly’s history and gaining insights into cybersecurity solution deployment across three tracks— Offensive Security, Defensive Security plus a Bonus track that shines a spotlight on important topics impacting the industry. The day will close with a special anniversary edition of Paul’s Security Weekly podcast streamed live.

See you there!
