Shadow Brokers Plan to Launch Subscription-Based Exploit Service

By Marcos Colon

The Equation Group exploit saga continues as the infamous Shadow Brokers hacking group has revealed that it plans to leak more attack tools belonging to the National Security Agency (NSA).

In a new message posted on Tuesday, the group indicates that they have "many more" Equation exploits that haven't been leaked to the public, but the group plans to do so via a subscription-based service that will go live in June.

It's possible that the new subscription service will include exploits aimed at routers, web browsers, mobile devices, Windows 10, in addition to data that was compromised by the Equation Group, according to the posted message.

The hacking collective is also responsible for leaking the Windows SMB exploit, EternalBlue, that was leveraged to infect more than 230,000 computers with the WannaCry ransomware in early May, making it one of the biggest worldwide cyber attacks in history.
