The latest round of leaks by the Shadow Brokers hacking collective suggests that the NSA successfully compromised the SWIFT global financial messaging system, but the company says otherwise.

“We can confirm that there is no impact on SWIFT’s infrastructure or data, and we have no evidence to suggest that there has been any unauthorized access to SWIFT’s network or messaging services,” the company wrote in a news release.

Just this week the Shadow Brokers released a trove of data which included what they say is evidence that the NSA infiltrated the Middle East banking system. The leaks included documents that point to the intelligence agency successfully infiltrating a Dubai-based company that manages transactions via the financial messaging system.

SWIFT noted that it has reached out to the third-parties said to be involved in the allegations to ensure them that preventative steps have been taken.
