Protect Data AB has acquired Reflex Software. The £12.3 million cash deal was completed in November. Reflex Software had net sales of £3.1 million in the year ending 31st March 2006. Peter Larsson (pictured), CEO for Protect Data, said the deal reflected the growing customer demand for port and device control solutions.

Accenture and Symantec Security Transformation Services has launched,offering data security solutions to companies struggling with IT riskmanagement. Comprised of consultants from both Accenture and Symantec,the organisation will focus on three key areas: compliance, securitymonitoring and management, and application security.

Initially these services will be available in North America and Europe,with global expansion expected to follow in a couple of months.
