Company news: Cohen named Steelbox president and CEO

Brian Cohen has been named president and chief executive officer of Steelbox Networks, maker
of network video distribution and storage devices. Cohen served in the same role at application security firm SPI Dynamics, acquired in August by Hewlett-Packard. Cohen previously founded Technologic, a firewall provider.


Corporate Integrity, provider of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) research and advisory services, has launched. The company will assist organizations in achieving integrity in their GRC processes.

The start-up was founded by former Forrester Research analyst Michael Rasmussen, who
has been replaced at Forrester by Chris McClean.


The PCI Security Standards Council, which manages the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), has named Rob Tourt chairman. Tourt serves as vice president of network services at Discover Financial Services. As council chairman, he replaces Seana Pitt, vice president of global merchant policy and data quality at American Express.


Alcatel-Lucent, provider of network solutions, has announced it will resell InfoExpress' CyberGatekeeper network access control and CyberArmor personal firewall solutions. The partnership will allow Alcatel-Lucent to increase its security offerings for customers, while InfoExpress will benefit from access to Alcatel-Lucent's global sales and marketing teams.


The Department of Veterans Affairs
announced plans to extend Lumension Security's Sanctuary Device Control to 250,000 of its desktops, laptops and servers. The solution offers policy-based enforcement for portable device use and a white list of permitted devices.


Invensys Process Systems has partnered with Integralis, provider of managed security services, to offer global network security monitoring and management. The partnership combines process engineering and IT expertise that can be extended to process-intensive verticals.


Sentrigo, provider of database security software, has announced that Oracle database expert Alexander Kornbrust has joined its board of advisors. Kornbrust serves as founder and CEO of Red-Database-Security, a Germany-based security firm.


nCipher, a data security firm, has appointed Geoffrey Finlay CEO. He previously served as CEO
of Kewill Systems. nCipher's co-founder Alex van Someren has stepped down as CEO and will remain on the board.


Greg Stock, president and CEO of network access control vendor Mirage Networks,
has joined the advisory board at network security firm Cymtec Systems. Stock brings with
him more than 20 years of IT experience, most recently serving as chief marketing officer for
e-Security.
