Popular YouTube video blog hacked by jealous teenager

In a cyber-attack coordinated by an alleged jealous teenager, the YouTube account of Theo Ogden, 15 of Hampstead North London, has been deleted.

The video blogs, which have gained over 1.6 million views, were undone by the “click of a mouse”, according to Ogden. Ogden was left devastated after two year's worth of hard work were deleted.

Theo Ogden said, “It's no exaggeration when I say losing this site feels like a death in the family and I felt sick when I found out what happened.”

It is thought that the jealous teenager got hold of Ogden's password details, hacked into the YouTube account and systematically deleted 200 videos and nearly 20,000 subscribers.

In an attempt to recover the site, Ogden pleaded with staff at the YouTube Space near King's Cross and its headquarters in California, but they replied: “Hi Theo – hope you're having a great day. Unfortunately the deletion is already permanent.”

Police are investigating the case just days before the teen was due to be signed up by one of the world's biggest social media talent agencies.
