SC Awards

Lieberman Software for Best Identity Management Application

When did you first hear about the SC Awards and what prompted you to be a part of the big event?
When you attend RSA, you automatically hear about the SC Magazine awards which are the Oscars of the security industry. Making it to the finals in your product category means industry recognition among your peers, your customers, your prospects and your competitors.

What's a key benefit for entering your company in the SC Awards?
The mindshare we gain with key editors and industry professionals has been invaluable to us. Our product is one that's not the easiest to categorize so presenting the products for awards help us solidify a simple message regarding the security technology problem we solve and why we do it better than our competitors.

To what other prominent awards ceremony outside of the security industry would you compare the SC Awards?
The Best of Interop awards, the Codies, the InfoSecurity Product Guide awards and the myriad of publication “Best Buy” and “Editor's Choice” award are great to win.  But the best reward is new customers and repeat customers.

How do you think winning an SC Award would impact the perceptions of your customers toward your products and services?
It gives us bragging rights against our competitors and a new talking point when pitching prospects. But at the end of the day, a customer will make a decision to buy our product based on price and performance, not whether or not the product is an award winner or not.

With readers and industry leaders judging the various SC Awards, how do you intend to tout a finalist spot or win?
We'll promote a finalist selection via PR and social media channels and personal communications to customers and prospects. We'll probably have some beer and pizza to celebrate with our teams too.
