Oracle issues 248 patches with new quarterly security update

Oracle pushed out 248 patches as part of the company’s quarterly security update affecting a wide range of its products.

The list of issues and products covered is quite extensive, but a few of the highlights are Enterprise Manager Products Suite in which nine of the 11 fixes cover remotely executable vulnerabilities that can be exploited without user credentials; 30 patches for MySQL, three of which fix vulnerabilities that may be remotely exploitable without authentication; 62 fixed were issued for Fusion Middleware products, 57 of which could lead to remote execution and PeopleSoft had 20 patches with 15 being remotely exploitable.

The full list of products covered with this security release are Oracle products: Database Server, Golden Gate, Big Data Graph, Fusion Middleware, Enterprise Manager, Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, Siebel CRM, Industry Applications (Construction, Communications, Financial Services, Hospitality, Insurance, Retail), Java SE, Oracle Virtualization, MySQL, and Sun Systems Products Suite.
