Nite Ize is notifying customers that its online store experienced a cyber attack, which resulted in credit card transactions being compromised and unauthorized access possibly being gained to a general customer database.
How many victims? Roughly 309 credit card transactions. The general customer database includes entries for roughly 50,000 customers globally.
What type of personal information? Specific credit card numbers. Other customer data may include names, usernames, passwords, mailing addresses, email addresses and phone numbers.

Details: The third party website services provider that hosts and manages the Nite Ize website notified Nite Ize on March 11 that credit card numbers were compromised in a cyber attack. The credit card numbers were used to place orders from March 3 to March 11. On March 13, Nite Ize was notified that access may have been gained to its general customer database.
Quote: “To date, we have no evidence to prove the hacker(s) accessed our general customer database, or viewed any information in it, but because we are concerned that it was possible, in an abundance of caution, we are notifying our customers and alerting the appropriate authorities,” according to a FAQ posted to the Nite Ize website.
