President Obama met with major technology company executives this past week to discuss privacy issues and government surveillance.
The CEOs of Netflix, Dropbox, Facebook, Palantir and Box attended, as well as the executive chairman of Google, according to a White House press release. The six companies vented their concerns over government surveillance efforts and their repercussions in the tech industry.
Although the session was meant to ease tension, at least one participant, Facebook's chief executive Mark Zuckerberg, left unsatisfied, according to The Washington Post.
Zuckerberg called the president earlier this month to express concerns over the government's spying efforts, and most likely, Edward Snowden leaks that showed the National Security Agency (NSA) masqueraded as a Facebook server to infect computers.
