Two clinics in Pennsylvania, located on the same block, reported potential breaches.

A pair of medical offices in Pennsylvania reported recently that they had potentially experienced a "privacy incident" that could have exposed patient information.

The two clinics, Harrisburg Endoscopy & Surgery Center. and Harrisburg Gastroenterology, posted the same notices on their websites, reporting an incident on March 17 in which they determined an unauthorized person "could potentially have accessed" data on their systems. "While we do not have any specific evidence that any unauthorized individual did in fact access or obtain any information from our systems, we are notifying our patients in an abundance of caution," the clinics said.

They informed patients that the information contained in its systems included name, demographic information, Social Security number, health insurance information, diagnostic information and clinical information.

The two practices, which are located on the same street, started notifying patients affected via letter on April 28 "and have established a dedicated call center to answer any questions."
