Deployment was fairly straightforward. The tool allows for some flexibility with regard to how agents are deployed and whether the client machines or administrators have control over how the protections are enforced and managed. Overall, data leakage is the main focus of the solution and is evident when the admin first opens the Identity Finder client application. The client user interface is very polished and reminds us of the Microsoft Office ribbon-based layout. Users or administrators can proactively search their computers and servers for various types of data using the AnyFind engine to develop remediation profiles. The client software is intuitive and has a lot of nice features for searching the enterprise for sensitive data.
Unfortunately, we couldn't find any local documentation within the Identity Finder client application. When we clicked on the help-file link, a separate browser popped up which connected back to the Identity Finder website.
Eight-hours-a-day/five-days-a-week phone, web and email support is included with the license. The Identity Finder website includes a knowledge base, customer support portal and FAQ.
