Safe-T Data Safe-T Box v5.1

Safe-T Box is a secure email and data exchange solution comprised of three components offering high levels of security for secure email solutions: Safe-T Box server, RSAccess secure front-end external node, and RSAccess secure front-end internal node.

Each of the components is offered as a hardware server running on a Dell OptiPlex 7010 Ultra Small Form Factor (USFF). The solution is deployed as follows: The RSAccess secure front-end external node is deployed within the DMZ on the DMZ "side" of the DMZ firewall. The RSAccess secure front-end internal node is deployed within the LAN on the LAN "side" of the DMZ firewall. The Safe-T Box Server is deployed within the LAN.

Safe-T Box offers two types of secure email deployments. One can use Safe-T's outlook plug-in. In this configuration, any email sent using the plugin is intercepted by Safe-T Box and processed. One can also deploy Safe-T as an SMTP gateway module. In this configuration, the Safe-T SMTP gateway resides after the organization's email server and is configured to intercept and process emails based on predefined rules. Emails can be sent from any internet-enabled computer or mobile device supporting HTML 5, or from within Safe-T Box itself using its web interface. Safe-T also offers a Microsoft Outlook plug-in as part of its data protection suite, enabling continued use of the Microsoft Outlook email client along with additional features, such as enhanced data security and emailing large attachments without any size limitation

In essence, once deployed, Safe-T will intercept emails and manage content and delivery of attachments. Once an email is intercepted, it is processed using the solution's rules engine. The attachment can be scanned using a variety of tools, such as DLP and anti-virus. If the attachment is clean and can be sent out, it is then either encrypted using PDF encryption with a password or it is stored in Safe-T Box and a link to the attachment within the Safe-T Box portal is attached to the email.

A one-time-password to access the Safe-T Box portal or secure PDF can be generated and sent to the recipient. The attachment is stored in a Unified Folder, a folder located anywhere within the reach of the Safe-T Box server. The term "Unified" indicates that Safe-T Box regards every folder in the same way, regardless of whether it is located locally, on a remote network location, on a remote FTP location, stored as a binary large object (blob) on a database (such as SQL Server), or any other protocol that supports file transfer. The intention is that the user will be unaware of the behind-the-scenes network activity such as authorization, authentication and access. Depending on if the recipient is retrieving a secure email or secure attachment, either a URL will be sent to retrieve the secure email or an SMS message can be generated with a one-time password to retrieve a file.

The product can integrate with security solutions - such as DLP, anti-virus, true-type and scrubbing solutions - in order to allow scanning of both outgoing and incoming emails and attachments.

Two levels of support are available: eight-hours-a-day/five-days-a-week and 24/7, both phone and email, priced at 18 percent and 30 percent, respectively.
