Sam Zurzolo joined Toronto Hydro Corporation in April, 2007. In his current role, Manager of Security and Enterprise Architecture, Sam has global responsibility for Enterprise Architecture and Information Technology (IT) Strategy and Risk.
Information Technology Strategy and Risk includes: IT Divisional Strategy including Goals/KPIs aligned to corporate strategy, IT process definitions including metrics, constructing the Technology Portfolio of Projects / Programs with Justification (Business Cases) for Electrical Distribution Rate Filings and Portfolio Management Processes.
Enterprise Architecture includes: Technology Standards and Governance, Integration Architecture, Physical and Logical Security Architecture, Application Architecture, New Technology Research, Information / Data and Reporting Architecture.
Prior to his current role, Sam was responsible for managing Business Project Delivery at Toronto Hydro. In this role, Sam delivered a comprehensive list of programs and projects, amongst them, the Mobile Computing Program – Point-of-Source Field Data Entry and Global Positional Solution with Automated Vehicle Location/Dispatch.
Throughout his 17 year career, Sam has worked in several industries including Telecommunication (Tellabs, LLC and Motorola) and Industrial Computing mainly in Research & Development Engineering. Sam held a variety of progressive leadership roles driving and resulting in the attainment of project management skills/competencies in project management, concept-based simulations / demonstrations, and the development of innovative solutions to solve business problems.
