A hacker by the name of realloc() has defaced the SCO web site in an apparent protest over the ongoing legal proceedings the company is waging against Linux.
Visitors to the SCO web site were treated to a picture changed to read "We own all your code – pay us all your money". In the background of the picture a woman is writing on a whiteboard "hacked by realloc()".
The attack has come from the same hacker that managed to hack the website on Sunday. They changed a page on the site that normally discussed legal proceedings lodged against SCO by RedHat.
The hacker inserted a paragraph of text claiming "Recently we found parts of our code in almost all Microsoft(R) software. We want to bring an action against Microsoft(R) and our legal department is working on that." The hacked page also included the statement "hacked by realloc()".
We were unable to contact anyone from SCO at the time of writing (it was 4am in the morning their time).
A query on Netcraft's website shows that the SCO website is running Apache on a Linux server.
